Hi gang-new to the forum. I'm getting older and am thinking about driving a fun car for a year. To avoid new car depreciation, I'm thinking about getting a 2011 stock Mustang GT. To personalize it, I'd add a CAI and cat back and maybe some wheels. I'd have fun with it for a year and then sell it for a good price hopefully. Any flaws with my plan? i live in CA.

Make sure anything you buy is CA legal. CA is so picky you practically need a license to breath.

Great plan 2 faults: 1) if the economy takes a bigger poop then you may not get good money for your car being that gas might get more expensive too. 2) Once you drive a 5.0L Mustang especially with a CAI you're not going to want to get rid of it.

Primary flaw: keeping the Mustang for only a year...

Any suggestions for CARB approved CAI or exhaust? I have a neighbor with a 25th Anniversary Trans Am with headers and Borlas and another neighbor with a new Hemi Challenger. I have to compete with them soundwise.

You certainly won't get the money back out of the mods. I'd keep it!
