I am looking to put this kit on an otherwise stock 4.6 Mustang GT 5 speed manual.
It would be going on a 2008 model car.

http://www.turbohorsepower.com/3vgtfaq.html

I would not run more than 8 psi boost.

What is the weakest link if I do this?
Tranny?
Diff?
Clutch?

Thanks

ps. I wanted a Shelby GT500, but they are hard to get here, and very pricey, as they want 12,000 over full MSRP.

$7,395 plus shipping

damn thats expensive.

stock tranny wont like to be abused with that power level...as far as a diff. or axles you should be fine unless your launching with drag radials or something.

Im not sure how safe it is on the engine though.

I was looking at the kit that was actually $3,995.
And running about 6 or 8 psi is all.

But have since changed my mind and ordered a Saleen instead.

You would be better off with a kb 2.6. I would prefer the turbo kit over any others. You would have a lot of room to grow with the turbo kit.

I am not familiar with that turbo.
Do you have a link to a website, or thread on here about it.
Thanks

yea, your probably tuned so safe that your making less power than the guys running 10lbs...

either that or youll be posting a thread titled

"Guys, I threw a rod"

I made 417lbs with 10lbs of boost (now I'm at 13-14 ). Currently my AFR is 11.3-11.4 and 16^ of timing. Plenty of people run 450-500whp on these engines no problem...you just have to know how to tune them. And when I do throw a rod, I'll swap in a new motor, no biggy...
