Can someone tell me little bit more about this cam and is this cam good for Turbo 8-12psi on (306/331/247)

Advertised duration @ .006____ 270/280

i've read and heard that the stock cam is pretty perfect for a turbo... ever considered staying w/ the stocker?

I dont know much about spec'ing cams but the stocker can make more than enough power to split the block. If you already have one, you might want to just stick with that to save some cash.

I would stick a stock cam in it if you are going to run a turbo. My brother has a 94 Cobra with a T-64 turbo with tfs heads, intake, etc and at 8psi it made 496hp and right at 600ft.lbs at the wheels so the stock cam is more than enough for a stock block with a turbo kit and will make good power.

ernie, your B-31 cam would most likley make more. with the power band to 6500. you would shatter your hp goal. isn't that cam for a power adder?

and also the fact that i want to see what it will do with a turbo. cause i was thinking of swappng out my 2031 cam for the B-31 if my turbo kit ever get installed.

Thats a blower cam as u know which is much different than a turbo cam i believe. A turbo cam should be a reverse split design favoring the intake on duration with a tad less on the exhaust would be optimal.

Its a blower cam so i would think there are better turbo cams out there. That cam isnt a reverse split which is what i thought is best or better for turbo setups.

Yeah,i will post abot that later, now i tryin figure out can i use this blower cam with Turbo,if not WHY NOT

You can use whatever cam you want with the turbo and still probably make enough power to make you smile. Turbos like reverse split designed cams...that B-31 is not reverse split. From just talking to Ed C. and reading on turbomustangs, thats the type of cam you want. Turbos work best with RS cams.

I dont know specifics or anything. I just know when talking with ed that a stocker will work, but a reverse split with about 230 on the intake and a little less on the exhaust will work better than a stock cam. Ofcourse this is with my setup...not yours. But the same idea should apply.

Hopefully one of the guys will chime in with more cam knowledge. Or just go to hardcore50 and search reverse split. I know one of the cam guys on the west coast i believe do reverse split cams. I remember talking to them back when i was custom cam searching.

Here is something Ed C said to me... "Turbos like the RS profiles. They need air in but it is not as critical to
get it out. As you know, turbos need heat and exhaust pulse to spin, the RS
do this."

So Turbo supposed to push air inside head fast but not too fast go in exhaust, i think i got it
