I am currently running with O/R H pipes(2 1/2 inches) and American Thunder Cat back system. The tails are 3inches and the mufflers are 4 inches ( I think). My only other modes are K&n air filter and 3.73's. If this is hurting me what can I do to get my performace back? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know it just feels like I'm losing horsepower and I don't know why. I was told that the exhaust could be to wide open and it's not good for our cars because our engines work mostly off back pressure.

You really shouldnt have to go larger than 2.5" mid-pipe and catback unless you're well over 400hp. I seriously doubt you have 4" openings on your muffler, but you may be loosing alittle with the 3" tips. I say just open up the intake side of your engine and you'll get that power back.

You would be loosing significant torque if you indeed were using a 4" muffler, but I truly doubt you are. Did you buy the catback system as a kit? If so, the mufflers should be 2 1/2"; the same as the pipe diameter.
