I use a BBK x-pipe for my long tubes to super 44s but I miss the sound of my h-pipe. Am I the only one that loves chambered muffler drone? I put a Murican Thunder flowmaster kit on my 2v 5.4 SCrew and I love the drone!

Not a fan of the drone...one thing I disliked about my ‘86 from new. I changed the gearing so it doesn’t cruise in drone range.

Im not gonna say I love the drone, but overall, the sound of the Flowmaster is perfect for the Foxbody Mustangs. I grew up loving it..... and still do!

I don't like the modular growl the x pipe made to the car. I like the Flowmaster Hpipe thump

So is it the H that gives it that signature sound, or the Flows? Do the Flows sound that much different behind an X?

I noticed a difference. Not so much on the power side but definitely the bass note decreased to me. Could be all in my head!

Shaker hood, I’m looking at the Bassani catted X-pipe to replace my stock H-pipe. It will discharge into a Flowmaster American Thunder cat-back system. How do you find the sound?

I think it sounds great, not too loud and drone isnt too bad either.

I still stand by my hypothesis that the majority of serial killers endured the drone of a flowmaster exhaust.

Is it wrong that I actually love the flowmaster drone and purposely drive my car at drone-inducing RPM's just to hear it?

It's cheaper on gas than my approach.

Step on it to see how long you can keep it making blower whine.

To date, I've lifted every time, before the blower stopped singing but one day...

You need to read up on the scientific process, and understand the term "hypothesis." I'm just throwing this out there. It's not like I am actually going to put this beer down and do actual research.
