1986 MUSTANG 302 5.0 COMPLETE WITH 166K MILES RUNS GOOD. COMPLETE FROM INTAKE TO OIL PAN. $300

I really want to get rid of my 2.3, so would this be worth it. When i go look at it what should i look for and check befor i buy it?

yes and no. 86' was the dawn of a new era for the 5.0, but it was also the one and only year of about the crappiest heads you'll find gracing the 5.0 - hence why it was a one year only thing. I assume you know all the other stuff that needs to be present to make it work as well however, a swap doesn't just mean throw an 8 cylinder monster in a 4-banger setup. However though, for $300 you've got a great foundation and hopefully a block that hasn't been rebuilt before so it is capability for the future. My advice would still be to at the very least recondition it and preferrably rebuild it before you toss it in there (no fun in having to rip it all out no sooner than you put it in there when it does need a rebuild), good luck :nice:

yeah you could part the car out for more then 300 if its in decent condition,

rebuild the engine to your specs, and u got a good car

big deal about the pistons and heads there replaceable 300 dollars if it was around here id buy it just for a project to throw in my yard
