Is this worth the dough?

what are you trying to do with your car?

That's a good question to have you answer for us. I have the Steeda Sport Springs and MM CC Plates (which are very close to those in the pkg) and I am very happy with the ride/handling. As I mod the car more and more, and drive it less every day I would be willing to get a lower drop, but its not too big of a deal. H&R's will be about 1/2 inch lower than the Steedas.

I think you would be happy either way, but the price isn't a huge screaming deal in my mind. For the Steeda springs and their CC Plates together, it would be $394. I know you get the isolators in that kit (some people use them, others do not) and you get the offset rack bushings (which I hardly see used instead of a true bumpsteer kit if you are worried about that) so I'm not seeing the true benefit of the package. You could just get the H&R sport springs and the CC Plates for about $384 total and have what you initially wanted and not really miss out in my mind.

Good luck with your decision. :nice: Also keep in mind that it is much easier just to do the shocks/struts at the same time as well since the stock ones will blow with a lowering spring eventually. Think about that in your overall budget as well :D

Its a summer car but plan to build the bottom end and put a blower on in the near future.

That really doesn't help. Do you track the car? Drag Racing, Road racing? What do you want out of the suspension?

I agree with scortlx. I would go ahead and add a set of shocks and struts to the car while your at it. It might be 1000, or 10000 miles, but they will need to be replaced when you drop the car.

Was thinking about getting those to before spring, so what ones would you recommend? Not to expensive but still be a good shock and strut.

Nothing like that, modding is just a hobby of mine. Well to make a long story short, my dad got me into doing this stuff and he recently passed away. I plan on finishing what we planned on doing to the stang.

I wish I could help you more on this one. I went with Bilsteins because they are a high quality shock/strut and I didn't want/need adjustables because I'm rarely at the track. Bilsteins are a bit pricey though and I'm sure someone will chime in with a suggestion. If not, search never fails. There have been multiple threads about shock/strut choices. :nice:

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Thats great that you are continuing the passion that your dad passed to you. What a great gift from your father and I'm sure the car will turn out great!

i have a kyb adjustable racing suspension with alignment plates, i love it. great for road racing. my car handles better than i will ever need, IMO its perfect for road racing. although let me tell you its not smoothest rie in the world but its worth it for the handling.
