It's Gorgeous!!!!!!!

I got Old Paint back from the body shop today, resplendent in PPG '94 Ford Performance Red. Its absolutly the most gorgeous 82 Mustang GL on the planet.

This weekend I will try to get the trim back on it. This is the best bargain paint job I have ever seen, and better than a lot of much higher dollar ones.

Its taken nearly 9 years.

Were did you go? Is it just a local shop? What kind of deal did you get. I need a paint job alos.

It was a bit less than $900 total, $600 to the shop for the prep and paint, and about $300 for paint and supplies. It was done by a local shop, who understood that I wanted a race car deal, no bodywork, just prep it, prime, seal and paint. The dings in the bumper covers, etc are still visible, but thats not a big deal with me. My filler work on the hood could have been better, but it is light years ahead of where it was!

Because of this, and because I may do some later touch up and add a glass hood, we did it in PPG single stage. Drove in in last Wed, and picked up this Tuesday.
