392 fordracing shortblock,Well finally get to do some actual hp upgrades, I hope to have it running in june, i have afr 185 non emmission legal 61cc heads coming with upgraded springs and i already have a trickflow r intake to strap on the top of it.

Your going to have one wicked car on your hands once it gets built. Are you going to keep it N/A or add boost to it later on?

I'm going to stay N/A for awhile because this little mod is setting me back some dough.

The problem with a 392/396 is that it is hard to get the compression down if you decide to go with boost. Trust me I looked into it. You could get it down pretty good with Victor jr heads with 70cc combustion chambers. Just a thought

Mark your absolutely right even with 61cc heads I'll be running about 10.4:1 so I'm going to have to throw the juice at it...

Probably because he wanted a FMS motor, 408/418 have a low rod ratio, and its not as reliable.

thank you lol, ya pretty much right, i wanted a true rollerblock and some reliability with a sportsman block. i have looked for a regular roller block for a decent price to build locally but that is damn near impossible with my luck.
