It's amazing how clean the old 5.0 can make 465rwhp look.......

I'd go with matching powdercoat...i don't think polished would look "fitting" with the rest of the engine bay since everything else is low key OEM looking.

nice 7up 5.0! i have to get mine up to running condition again. mine sat in a barn and outside for a total of 4 years and wasn't really driven. but since then its been stroked and supercharged too. I hope to have close to the same numbers, still can't believe the numbers with the stock plan. love the sleeper idea. mine is the sorriest looking 7-up stang that u have ever seen but a sleeper too. still the stock turbine wheels! Love your car!

Are you thinking just the powerpipe powder-coated the same color as the intake, or also the Vortech discharge tube?

I was thinking of leaving the discharge tube because it matches the Vortech head unit.

Or...leaving the Vortech tube and doing the powerpipe in black?

My favorite part is how it still has the stock hood. NOBODY assumes a flat-hooded Fox to have 465rwhp on tap.

Ford doesn't make them anymore

The best place I think is Ebay or the classified section on here. They are very hard to find in good shape. I found this one brand new on Ebay.

Expect to pay as much if not more for a used one, than the BBK SSI.

Don't get me wrong, there are still plenty out there for sale, and I think they are well worth the price. You can usually find a couple on ebay at any time. Just search for GT-40 intake.
