The UPS guy just dropped off the T5 fresh from its rebuild at Astro Performance Warehouse in FL. They received, tore it down, cleaned, and assessed it the day it arrived there. The following day they rebuilt it and sent it to shipping where it traveled back here to the Seattle area. In addition to the standard bearings, seals, and rings package, it required a new input shaft, front bearing retainer (got the steel one to replace the coated aluminum original), and the 3-4 shift fork.

Now all I have to do is put the new clutch package in and I can install it!

I want a rebuilt tranny.

Congrats man, I hope you enjoy it.

Did you get anything special done or just a rebuild?

Cool man - I remember the thread from when you sent it out. I saw their ad and it looked like they have good prices.
Let us know how it shifts and feels.

The only thing special was my request not to install a new coated aluminum retainer, but to put in an all steel version.

Total cost including return shipping was under $450.00.

Did they say what kind of power or abuse it can take without breaking?

No I did not even ask that. Should be back to stock specs I suppose. Although they can build it for anything you want.
