Well, I owned the cobra for exactly 12 months to the day (weird).
The new buyer is getting the car fixed, I guess the damage was just inside the amount that they consider it a total.

So, now that I am the family man, I had to have 4 doors and something that won't give my family lead poisoning. The first batch of goodies from Japan shows up this week. I'm going to have to spray a lot of NOS and get a bigger wing if I am ever going to beat Lars in this.

Nice!! I've never driven one (the dealers wont let me unless I promise to buy it ) but I hear they're fairly quick ... what are ya going to do to it? Got plans for making serious horsepower, or what?

Thanks!

Oh I have plans. I think you all have seen how I operate.

Stock these things have 300 horse 300 torque. With the AWD they lay down 1.50 60 foots all day long. The drivetrain is super tough and those fast launches mean 13.1's all day long bone stock. But they trap very low speeds meaning it can't keep up with a big blown V8 in the higher revs and speeds. Turbo back exhaust and an ECU upgrade will give you mid 12's, but still low trap speeds. They are really really quick, not really really fast. The exact opposite of what I am used to!

First on the list are a couple cosmetic things. I have some parts on order. Then I will be jumping up to some power adders. The car still only has 34 miles on it so I have to break it in a little before I go Horse F*&% it at the track with you guys! I do plan on playing with it at PIR though.

Besides I can't keep up with you guys if I'm only running low 13's. Let me get in the 12's and then we will play around.

Hey Jon can you guys install drop kits for f150 trucks? I'm looking to get a belltech kit to lower my 2001 f150 crewcab 4x4 and I might need some help. Also can you guys mount and bal wheels?

Well I guess if you have to have 4 doors its pretty nice. Personally, I would have slapped a supercharger on a LT1 Impala SS or put a blown Cobra motor in a Crown Vic... But, thats the ex-cop in me talking...

I guess you'll be all about racing from a dig now huh Ben? Talk about about doing a 180...

Hey Ben, I had a feeling that you were going back to the STi. I remember when we went out in your old one and had fun with the 4 wheel drifting. We need to go for another spin with my truck and your "new" STi.

Let me know when you guys are going, I may have something that can keep up with you guys in hopefully a little over a month. Come to think of it I may actually be able to hang with the STi in the twisties, that will be a change

BTW...this is some funny ****znit

I think he might like the hot pink stickers!

86strokerlx: I do have a question. What is the top ring width on a CP piston for a 5.4L modular engine?

I'd leave the insignia, but I would lose the wing. Then I'd go with a FMIC and lose the hood scoop. Put on a bigger turbo, the best free-flowing but quiet exhaust, and then go hunting in the stoplight nationals... .
