I'd leave the insignia, but I would lose the wing. Then I'd go with a FMIC and lose the hood scoop. Put on a bigger turbo, the best free-flowing but quiet exhaust, and then go hunting in the stoplight nationals... .

Yes, the wing is damn big. In 04 the wing wasn't an option, in 05 I'm not sure though. I haven't seen one on any of the lots without a wing though.

Yeah, I could try to remove the wing and emblems, making it more stealth, but there are some dead ringer give aways, like the 14" gold brembos on the front and back. Plus the wheels, which are 5x114.3 this year, as opposed to 5x100 for every other year. That makes it hard to sell them to the Subaru community. Besides they are like 15.4 pounds per wheel custom made by BBS for the STi. The all blue suede interior with Recaros is a dead giveaway as well.

But, like you said, removing the emblems and the enormous scoop would make it look a little less obvious. I don't know, I haven't decided if I love the wing or hate it yet. I did wash it the other day and it was like caressing the ass of a 18 year old catholic school girl. You should try it sometime.

I will tell you all one thing, after driving this car, I could never go back to a Cobra. The Cobra had a lot of awesome qualities, but the STi is in a league all its own. The power is strong, but nothing like the Cobra. The key though is the power it does have is extremely useable. The car is so well balanced and behaved. It makes a mediocre driver like myself feel like a F1 driver. I really love the car.

You can change the whole feel of the car by rolling the driver controlled center differential wheel forward or backward, making the AWD turn into RWD. It has so many cool gadgets in it, I forgot how plain and boring the Cobra was (even with all my gauges)

Anyway, I don't know exactly what route I will take with the car. Right now I am just enjoying the drive to the gas station where someone pumps 92 octane into for me. It comes with HID's but they are 4300K color temperature which is pretty yellow in my opinion. I have some 8000K Philips bulbs coming from the UK. I ordered a pretty cool STi front lip from Japan, which is all wind tunnel tested and rediculiously expensive. I ordered a gauge pod and some trick gauges. Not as many as the Cobra, but cool none the less. I will probably do a little de-badging after I get my first shipment of parts in. The "Cherry Blossom" is really Pink and although I celebrate diversity, it is a little Ghey for me.
