I've got some money...what mod is next on 03 cobra

Well all I have done is a cat back so far, and for the money it seemed worth it, some thing I can hear and feel...what is next you your all's opinion?

My goals are to not void the warrenty (only 2800 miles on it) but gain some HP or 1/4 mile times. accufab throttle body? CAI? drag radials?

All input is appreciated and for what it is worth i have about 1000.00 spend wisely.

Everyone seems to be in the same mind set here, I have looked it over and i like the JTL CAI, definately going to do some drag radials, and subframe connectors and the mid pipe.

Call me a newbie but the tune is what I am wondering about. I have a F150 that I put a CAI on and superchip, worked awesome for about 18 months then the engine would surge and die surge and die, replaced the Idle air controler, no luck and finally took the superchip out and it was fine then. Go figure?!

On the mustang are we talking about just buying a chip or taking it to a speed shop and having them reflash the computer to corect the A/f ratio timing ect to compensate for the mods? I have to tell you the only stuff I know is what i have read about on here. I do not know what a good A/F ratio is...or anything else. If i get a diablo predator is it something that I can do (tune that is)? is it set up to reconise what needs to be changed or do you need to know what you are doing? lol

i dont mind turning wrenches but the computer stuff has me baffled.

I would have to say go with the K&N FIPK, or some form of aftermarket cold air kit. I mated My FIPK with a JLT Ram Air and it works great. Predator is a good mod also, it allows you to choose from the canned tunes and also to import "custom" tunes. If you have to take it back to the dealership for work, you can always re-install your factory tune. one word of advise on the Predator, make sure you buy it from someone that will support you with *FREE* tunes, like Amazon Racing, Runnin' With the Devil, or SoCal Diablo. I thought I was being smart and saving money by paying $350 for my Predator on Ebay, when in fact I then had to pay an additional $100 to get a custom tune because I did not purchase the unit from a tuning vendor. Now that I have paid the $100, I have unlimited tunes via James at RWTD, and he is a great guy. Drag radials are another really good mod to hook up better on the street or track. Mine were purchased at Discount tire direct, they have free shipping. You can get a mid-pipe, but like Uncle Meat said, stay away from the O/R ones, even though I love mine . If you do your homework, you can probably get all of these for close to 1 grand.

Go with dr gas x pipe, think you can get them with cats now. Diablo predator is good, you can reset everything to stock when you take it in for service, and drag radials. Get a smaller blower pulley for more boost.

I would do the following mods if I were in your situation and wanted to "keep" a warranty.

First a good CAI, followed by subframes, followed by a clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster... after that maybe a nice catted h or x pipe.

Not a HP thing, but replacing the stock shifter really made me enjoy driving the car a lot more.
