I would appreciate any tips on jacking the Cobra.

I would like to know the best way to:
-raise the front
-raise the rear
-raise the entire car

Unless you have an extremely low profile floor jack, or a set of ultra long and gradual sloped ramps, your best bet is to just use the scissors jack that comes with the car and place it in the recommended location. (see owners manual)

Oh, I have read the owner's manual my friend... And the SVT supplement

Do you jack on the steel plate in the center of the k-member? I did this with the GT and it bent the plate slightly. I do not want that to happen again?

This one looks a bit more solid...

Essentially the jacking and hard points are the same as the GT correct? Just a little lower...

My 96 has been lowered. I use my hydraulic floor jack with a rubber pad on the contact point. I start with the rear lifting just enough to get the stands under the rear axle. I lift with the jack placed under the rear diff/center section. The handle only jacks a small amount each pump as the handle won't go up very high without touching the bumper, so it takes some patience. Then I move to the front, I lift using the recommended jacking points on each side behind the front wheel using the floor same jack with the rubber pad, just enough to get a stand under one side on the rail towards the front of the car. Then I go to the other side. I repeat this procedure until the car is high enough to lift from the front crossmember. Once the front is where I want it, I go back to the back and lift it higher if I want it higher. It is a royal pain in the rear, but that is how I do it.

Here are the jacking points from the workshop manual (1999)- Curiously, there are no specific Cobra jacking points in the rear dealing with the IRS.

I have jacking rails along the sides, so I usually use the jack under the center cross brace to lift the front end. Jackstand both sides up front close to the pinch-weld emergency jack location. Then I use the floor jack under the IRS lower arms under the springs to lift the back end (similar to what is shown in the diagram for jacking the front). Then jackstands on each rear side near the rear factory emergency jack location.

I'm not sure if you can jack under the IRS frame assembly safely or not. The large tubular IRS frame may be OK, but I certainly wouldn't lift using the differential case.

I love "Warning" number one.
