January Mustang sales

But the sales were only 11,208, not exactly an Earth shattering sales #.

That's an annualized rate of only 134,400 which is lower than what the old SN-95 Mustang sold. It is also less than the number being manufactured per month which says dealer inventory is building.

Sales over the last 7 months averaged only 10,882 per month. The test comes over the next 5 months. The Mustang posted huge sales #s Feb - June 2005. The question is whether it can post the same sort of #s during those months in 2006.

NYTimes is reporting Ford North American sales are up 2.7%, the first time they've been up in a while.

Ford cars are selling +18% over last quarter's, boosted by the Fusion triplets, offsetting the continuing slide in large truck/SUV sales.
