JBA Headers Fitment Issue

I agree, The header companies know where the steering box is located. Even if the shock towers are a little out of spec the steering box shouldn't move.

I still have to hang my mufflers and tailpipes and then go to the exhaust shop to get intermediate pipes made to go between the H pipe and mufflers.

I finally found a link to the exact verison of the Patriot Clippster headers I have on my 70:

If you look at the exits, you can see that they are at around the same place as the stock exhaust manifolds; they didn't try to re-engineer that part of it, and the best part is that these headers come with 1-5/8" primaries and a 3" collector.

Sure, they're shorties, but they do just fine, and the price is SURELY right!!

Great news! I'm glad it came together for you. There's nothing standard about 45 year old cars at this point; you have to tweak everything.
