My car performance wise is stock besides a magnaflow cat back and the air silencer was removed. I am considering the j-mod but I am a little intimidated drilling into my transmission. I did some reasearch but most of the stuff I found was for t-birds with the j mod. So could someone enlighten me on this mod? If I do the J mod I am definatley getting a tranny cooler (from B&M?) and maybe a tune. I am also looking into a CIA and its between a bbk or the MAC. I am only 17 and my budget is limited, plus my mom will yell at me if I mess with my car to much.

my car is a 01 gt auto

if you are stock, a drop in K&N will be fine for a while.
Id go with a cooler any way, but its a converter that you need the cooler for. the j-mod will make it shift fast so there is less slipping=less heat.
A throttle body and upper plenum will net you more than a CAI any way

Get yourself a nice CAI if you feel like it. Just stay away from the open element filters that don't include any sort of heat shield.

Accufab makes a good plenum/tb that not only will give you a few ponies, but also make the engine bay look a little nicer.

My advice as to the j-mod is: If you think your mom will yell at you if you mess with the car too much, then this is about as bad a mod as you could pick to try to hide doing. It's messy, and it's quite involved.
