jet chip

i am a newby to this stuff so here goes a friend had a 94 with a 5.0 he gave me the chip it is a jet 79410 94 cobra man. thats whats on the tag will this work on my 93 lx 5.0 just dont want to fry anything

I doubt you would fry anything, but I don't recommend trying it.

The 94 and 93 computers are completely different.

Good job on thinking to ask before installing it.

The chip is pretty worthless to you though.

all off the shelf chips are worthless. just advance your timing a little and that will be pretty much the same as what the chip would have done

While they are both EEC-IV computers, there are a few differences between the Fox computers and the '94-'95 computers. I wouldn't suggest trying it for two reasons. One reason being compatibility and the other reason being that a chip on a stock engine is virtually worthless.
