I am looking at getting some longtubes and I noticed on the Jet-Hot website that they make their own headers. From what I have gathered the are supposed to be an improved version of the Hooker longtubes. They looking very promising, but I have a few questions.

What is their quality like?

How much power did you gain?

How much did they cost?

What option do you have for a crossover pipe (X or H)? Is it Jet-Hot brand, is it Hooker, or do you have to get a custom one?

If you could do it over would you buy them again, or go with a different brand?

I never have experience with jet-hot. but I have read about how people with their products really liked them. Especially their shorty headers. But at the same time, they also complains about how expensive there are.

IMO, I think that every LT performs almost the same no matter what the manufacturer is. It's the quality, fitment, and reliability that sells them.

For the mid pipe, if you decided on long tube headers, you will need a shorty designed mid-pipe. You can use any brand.. many offers shorties for sale.

If I could do it again what would I buy? I can't give you a good answer on that because BBK LT is the first LT I've ever bought.. get back to me when I'm 30 years old on that one :)

you could also buy MAC L/T's and have them ceramic coated.... CR MOTORSPORTS sell CERAMIC L/T's...

everyone raves about MAC's quality and fit...would probably be worth you time and effort...( money)

I know about needing a shorty mid pipe, but the hooker style headers use a different one then the MAC/BBK.

I am not a very big fan of MAC products. I have prochamber and it is very cheaply made. The coating that they put on it is crap. The only positive thing I know about MAC is price.

I know BBK lts headers have been around for awhile, and many people have them and like them. My only concern with them is with transmission removal.

The Hooker design allows you to remove the trans without removing one of the headers. So that was why I was interested in the Jet-Hot ones. They are based on the hooker lt's, and come with the quality Jet-Hot coating rather then the cheap coating the other manufactures use.

It is no secret that the Jet-Hot coating is the best ceramic coating around, the question is if it is worth the extra cost.

I had a set of Motorsport headers that were Jet-Hot coated on my old '91. I loved the look of them, and the coated is VERY durable. Ninosport offers the MAC Prochamber Jet-Hot coated now too, I placed my order last week!!

Mac headers are good? I don't mean to be an ass, but I heard their quality wasn't exactly top noche. Im guessing gains are pretty good though. What about the SLP L/T header and X pipe. Pretty well priced, and I hear the construction quality is outstanding, but haven't heard too much about the gains. Just throwing another option out there. :D

I looked at SLP, but they want $800 for the LT's and another $270 for the X pipe. They seem very high quality, but that is pretty expensive.

Here is the info I got in an email from Jet-Hot. The prcies are pretty good.

That header set you linked to is made by Jet-Hot. We sell it for $560, coated and shipped. We do make a corresponding xpipe for it for $212. We also sell the Hooker version of that system for $680, and $268. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks
