JH96GT *OFFICIAL* 2010 NFL Thread

Anyone have a kicker we can borrow for a game or two? :nonono:

no kidding... what a bonehead move. 1st and 10 and we kick???? just RUN the ball.

Hartley is sooo inconsistent

great game though. It doesn't matter what the team records are when these 2 get together :nice:

I changed channels after that miss. I couldn't stand to watch them win

but like I said to my friends here in the ATL that are fans of the dirty terds...

"this loss is so bad, it must be what it feels like to loose a superbowl. But Saints fans aren't familiar with that.. how does that feel again Falcons fans?" :D

:D

Yeah. I understand somewhat why he tried it because PT was banged up, Drew was gimpy, and Ivory wasn't that effective. A 29 yarder should be a gimme.

They're bringing in John Carney as a consultant again I believe. Someone needs to let Hartley know the SB party is over and it's time to get back to work.

So what are your predictions of the best game of the day? Mine: Redskins vs Eagles. Basically, they did McNabb wrong and I hope he comes out and sends the Eagles a whipping. It might be tough if the Redskins can't contain Vick and Hall has to make some big plays or its going to be a long day for the Skins.

wow adam sciefter or however you spell his name is a moron.. He said on ESPN that the patriots decided to trade moss because they scored 41 on Miami without him...

OMG.. where do they find these sport writers.. Does this moron honestly think belichick or any nfl gm makes a move based on the results of one game.

This also happens to be the same guy who thought the patriots were going to keep cassel after brady returned. LOL that would be brilliant a backup making more than the starter to sit on the bench.. I would love to see a NFL owner hand him the gm keys to a real team, the epic fail that would become would be so funny to watch.

WOW and to think this guy makes a ton of money and knows less about football than any of us in this thread.

The real reason for this is probably one of these.

1. ( most likely) Belichick has to know this defense is not SB caliber, so a SB win is highly unlikely and for that reason it's pointless to keep moss who you will not resign. The draft pick could turn into a impact player or used as a chip to move up in the 11 draft. . I believe that NE is in a soft rebuilding mode and will continue to make moves over the next year or two that will tick fans off but could prove wise if belichick can draft well in the next few drafts.

2. ( also very likely) Moss shot his way out of town. Moss himself probably could see that this defense is trash right now and wants a chance to win a SB, the vikes was probably the best team ( that the pats would deal him to) that is desperate enough to flush draft picks down the drain to win now.

I'm not sad to see him go. Had not put up any decent numbers since 07 and has not really been a factor in any games other then a few ESPN high light catch's from time to time...IE The last Jets game w/ the catch over Revis

With the new Tight End weapons, Welker getting more and more healthy, Edelman, woodhead. Brady has more then enough targets.

i don't really like the guy but i will say it didn't ruin my day when i woke up and turned on sports center :)

I disagree.. he has been a top WR his whole time here.. his only real down year was the cassel year.. and he sucks so that don't count. expecting moss to do what he did in 07 every season is a bit much. Plus he makes those other guys better.. welker would not be the player he is now if there was no moss and a QB like cassel was throwing him the ball

Moss is one of those players that has a effect on plays all over the field. He effects the game even without making a catch.

This is why the only way to defend the pats from 07 until this week has been too get pressure on brady with a 4 man rush 5 tops .. If you can do this you can minimize the moss effect by severely limiting the time your zones is exposed and stretched.. typically blitzing leads to epic failure against brady since he can find the open man quick

All this is changed now since now other teams can load up the middle for the short pass
