JLT Cold Air intake install....

This may be a dumb question but do i need to reuse the circular ring in the MAF adapter...because when i try to reuse it with the supplied MAF Adapter Plate the JLT supplied MAF adapter plate doesn't directly fit into the original MAF adapter.

Should look like this:

Mine has a gap between the JLT adapter(the chrome piece) and the original MAF adapter.

I had the same problem when I installed mine. The plastic corners of the stock MAF bend forward a little and so there's not a complete seal. I got some gasket material and made a gasket to put in there. Then sealed it up well with a little RTV. If you use some RTV give it at least a few hours to cure somewhat before installing everything. The RTV should fully cure overnight.
