i cant seem to make up my mind between the two i know i want a JLT which one will i see the most gains from with my mods including cams or will the gains be about the same?
Fenderwell CAI's are over rated... once the car is moving more than 10-15MPH the air intake temps between an in-fender and under hood unit are within a degree or two of each other. So your car at idle has more HP with an in-fender unit. Don't fall for the hype...RoadconeTuning said:also if you have ever just poped the hood of you r car w/ it on after a 20 minute drive.... ever feel how hot the air is under there... well thats getting sucked in your motor when your sitting still... hto air is not good for power and it also will, in the end, cause a decrease in engine life, it might not be much but it does decrease... how about this... cold air ALL THE TIME or Cold air when rolling...
i like my Cold Air and had it painted DSG to match my car and its a perfect match.
Alot of people talk crap about JLT and his earlier problems with clearence issues on his intake. I believe those few problems have been corrected and Im happy with mine. I dynoed about 9 rwhp/tq with it when I adding it a couple of months ago. I say go with the ram kit as I dont like bends in front of the maf. I did make a cold air duct out of aluminum tubing that runs from the bottom of the bumper ( 99 cobra bumper, through the fog light assembly)up into the fenderwell and into the filter.Dont know if it adds anything, but it doesnt hurt either. Good luck.slow3gt said:i cant seem to make up my mind between the two i know i want a JLT which one will i see the most gains from with my mods including cams or will the gains be about the same?

I stand corrected. Big ups.RoadconeTuning said:the JLT doestn bend before the maf... the filter goes directly on the maf and the maf is relocated into your fender... AFTER the maf it does turn...
