Anyone here have the JLT Intake? I've got a 2002 S281 S/C and I'm looking for a new CAI. I currently have the MAC CAI (came w/ the car) and it won't accept the 90mm MAF that I'm installing (at least not w/ the existing hose connectors). I'm looking for an intake that will work w/ the 90mm MAF.

I see on JLT's website that they offer an intake for the 03/04 Saleens, but I'm not sure if there is a difference between those years and my 02'.

Any help is appreciated!

I have the JLT intake on my 2004. As far as I know, he only makes one for the Series IV. Yes, it works with a 90mm MAF...my SCT BA-2800 is a 90mm unit.

However, try contacting him and see if he has plans to make one for the Series I and II blowers. He is always posting on forums and asking for local people to donate cars to mock up a kit. That is how he got one for the Series IV. I saw his post on Tidewater Racing (a local board) and offered my car to him for a couple days to mock up the kit. All I paid for was the dyno rental for one hour to see the gains over stock. He had my car overnight or maybe two nights...can't remember. Very trustworthy guy and an ex-Saleen owner. He kept my car indoors the whole time.

Yeah, I shot him an email a couple of days ago, but still haven't gotten a response. Maybe I'll give him a call on monday and talk w/ him about it. I'm "kinda local" (2 hour drive) and would be willing to work something out if he would hook me up.

If I can't get the JLT to work I was looking Chicane's RIPP intake, but I'm not too impressed by it and would much rather have the JLT piece.

What about John Demolets- Tunable Induction Cold Air Intake??? I have this on my Series I SC and it seemed to help the car breath better and added a little boost , looks awesome (You can get one painted the same color as the exterior of the car, Any Ford Car Exterior Color or Gloss Black) and the sound, well it sounds like my car is a Jet when I'm on it! That with the combo of the whine from the blower= Check out his Web site, they Dynoed a Saleen SC with the kit on & made some nice numbers! Joe at Chicane was looking at my car and said with the intake I got he could have a 90 mm Mass Airflow Sensor made due to the bottle neck design of a 4 Inch Lower Cold Air intake to a smaller diameter Stock Mass Air Flow Sensor!

Who's John Demolet and what's his website?

I'm having difficulty understanding your post also...so are you saying Chicane's intake Can or Cannot fit the 90mm MAF?

Sorry, forgot to mention Johns Website: www.tunableinduction.com They dynoed an S281SC car and it made 25 RWHP and an extra 1 to 2 pounds of boost!! As far as Joe's Chicane RIPP Kit, I'm not sure if you can use the bigger Mass Air Flow Sensor!

No problem with my cars Idle before or after the CA intake was installed! But I've always thought it to be strange that my car idles at such a low number about 500 to 600 Rpms (closer to the 500 mark)!

No problem here on a 2000 Series I SC- I am running the meter forward fenderwell Demolet Tunable induction piece, with a Lightning MAF to the Chicane CAI pipe that comes with their kit, into a 70MM TB. No issues at all. I am not sure what piece to run between my MAF and Throttle Body.. my options are the stock piece or the Chicane piece.. any suggestions?

Spoke to "Lisa" at JLT today. They do not currently (nor plan to) offer a kit for the Series I/II blowers. I offered to lend my car as a Fabrication guinea pig but was told that they are too busy selling their other products to take the time to build something for the 01/02 Saleen guys. The Series IV guys are the only ones that get one.

At this point, I'm dead in the water...my plans to install my 42lb injectors/90mm MAF/Stage II cams are permanently on hold until I can find an Intake capable of mating up to the Lightning MAF.

After looking at the Tunable intake and reading the above post..am I correct in assuming that the intake only comes w/ the 90* elbow/Filter that enters the fender and NOT the tubing that feeds the Tbody?

Does the Chicane RIPP mate up to a 90mm MAF? I really don't want that intake, but I've got to have something since JLT isn't willing to help the Series I/II guys out.
