JLT2 intake rattle

After a couple weeks of having my JLT2, I noticed that sometimes at low RPM under load, like when taking off, or with the A/C on sometimes, there is a very loud and annoying rattle. I have traced it to the heat shield on the JLT. I stuck little strips of dynomat between the plastic and the car in the 3 points that I saw it touching, but the rattle is still there.

Anyone else ever notice this?

I also noticed that sometimes there is a real loud mettalic rattle from the trans tunnel. I never noticed it when I first installed my hurst shifter, but now I do. I thought maybe a bolt was loose on the shifter, but I checked them all and all are tight. I guess it's just noise in the trans that is being transmitted better by the Husrt shifter. Anyone else notice this?

I have both the JLT II and the Hurst short throw. I haven't had any problems with either. On the CAI maybe look for rub marks near the conical filter and MAF inlet. See if the tube may be rubbing/rattling there. Sounds like you hit the other trouble spots. You could always e-mail Jay (from JLT)... He is very prompt and helpful when it comes to his products...

I had a rattle but assumed it was the compressor because it was only when the AC kicked on, but after taking off the intake (for a supercharger!) I get no more rattle.
