Mr Grady

It's great to see you my friend!

You guys haven't quite gotten rid of me yet.

I think I've been on here about as much as always.
It just seems that things are kinda slow (on both 5.0 sides) so I dont have the frequency of posting that I otherwise might.

I've also been getting a fair number of PM's and emails, some of which are quite involved, and that takes up some time that I might otherwise spend on threads.

The 94 has been falling apart and I've been trying to keep it running with limited funds.

On that note, I do have to give a couple props:

Mr Wes hooked me up with a chip after the manual trans swap (and he did the re-burn right after a storm with a name had damaged his house. ).

ScratchinFerTra came through HUGE with a ton of swap parts. Gratis! I'd have been seriously screwed had it not been for him. Many thanks again Stan! (I had meant to put up a thank-you thread but was busy enough during the swap to forget. My bad!).

Once again, our little 94-95 community takes care of its own.

How are things with you Mr Grady? I'm sure you're already the teacher in your new endeavor.

Good to see everything is all good with you

I don't have the time to get on here near as much as I've
been able to in the past

I usually find the time to take a quick look each day
but
I only reply to a select few threads as thats all the time I have

It just looked like you were not as active as before

As for my latest endeavor

I guess the IT thing is going good and all
but
I sure ain't as good at picking up things quickly as I used to be

Most likely cause I've gotten so long in the tooth

anyway ... I'm haveing fun
creating images to backup and restore sick machines
adding new users
joining pc's to domains
and stuff like that

The boss told me I might get a bit of experience at building
some simple web sites ... Sounds like fun

As for me teaching anybody how to do stuff like that

I'm still trying to come outta the fog :Word:

I've quickly seen I got a whole lot of Q's
and
They pop up at a faster rate than the answers I obtain about
stuff I need to know to do my job on daily basis

I definatly am the Weed Hopper in this latest endeavor
or
You could say ... a very old rookie

Mr Grady (aka the grandfather of 94-95 Land IMHO), I'm glad to see that you're still as humble as always.

I'm sure you're kickin butt with all your new knowledge - otherwise you would not be getting asked to take on new things like building sites.

We're very appreciative of any amount of time that the wise ol' folks like you and Wes (et al) can give us in here.

I sure do like the folk that hang here
so
I really don't have any intention of leaving anytime soon :Word:

We have attracted quite a few more members over time

What is more important ... As I see it

Speaking as a long time member

The new peeps who come on here seem to be just as interested
in conducting themselves in a ... First Class ... kind of way
as the folks in the past have done

We have said it all before ... BUT ... This place is really special

JT ... he has been so helpful to so many :Teh-Win:
so
I was a bit concerned something had gone wrong
cause
This place would just be without him

It really helps when you have people here that are kind and considerate to newbies. The way I see it, like attracts like - to a degree. If this group was mean and condescending, we'd attract people who act like that. On the other side, if we were too nice and tolerant we'd get overrun by griefers.

But if you're nice to the polite newbies and run the arrogant SOB's out of town - er, the board -- you get a nice community that's like....well, us.
