I got my JLT XCal2 from evolution performance in PA. With a 91 octane tune I am putting 290RWHP and 310RWTQ. Get service there and I paid $520.

I posted a recent INDEPENDANT, NON AFFILIATED, dyno session to the site by Fastlane Motorpsorts, against the JLT ll. Their tuner found +2 more hp over the JLT ll.

It's important to note that some of the systems being marketed aren't the same ones in the shootout. Mine included.

I added the full surround shield and custom dual-cone with the constructive criticizm I received from the shootout. And they'll keep evolving with MD, BAMA CHIPS custom tunes, factory paint options, and new comp-combo packages.

would you say your changes are for longevity of the system/car they are on or performance of the system/car?

The finishing of the system was for both longevity and performance. The shootout system was a prototype. I ran out of time to complete everything before the shootout deadline. We'd completed the basic system and it tested fine on our R&D 05' GT.

The shielding showed much more critical than we'd anticipated prompting the use of the polycarbonate, and with the fresh air available in the front corner fender area a dual-cone would be the best choice filter, plus a dual-cone adds significant CFM flow without having to go to a bigger filter. With having the filter custom molded I was able to get away from the green color. The color doesn't matter with the inner fender systems but the red or blue looks much better with an underhood system.

The materials we use will show as much if not more longevity than the factory plastics. The polycarb and carbon fiber are superior to the factory plastics. The ABS is on a par with the factory plastics.

Does the DeMolet CAI/SCT tuner package on partshoper.com include the XCal1 or XCal2? Either way is this something I should be able to install/tune myself (with minimal experience) or should I take it to a shop? Thanks!

if you can loosen a few bolts and plug in a plug, then you can install the CAI/tune with no problems.

The package includes the XCAL II, and is also real easy to use...Just follow the on screen guide, just as any other plug n play device. The directions will walk you through, step by step.

UD pulleys, do not require tuning.. On the other hand, gear changes do..The XCAL II should provide the necessary tuning, you'll need to make any gear upgrades.

THIS IS A MUST FOR ALL GTs!!

This is easily something that you can do yourself. The only thing you may not have is a t20 bit to remove the MAF from the stock piping. It comes with an Xcal2 and man everything changes when your done installing it. My car loves to rev and just flies with only a thought about hitting the gas now! Almost no throttle lag when you done tuning it too! A big plus to the drive by wire system that is on our new ponies.:Track:
