I did the J/Y budget MAF upgrade this afternoon. I bought a 95 GT Mass Air Flow Sensor for $20 and an adapter off of EBAY for $11. I cleaned and painted the housing and used MAF cleaner to clean the MAF before installing. The adapter worked perfect but I did have to cut about 1.25" off of the CAI tube to make everything line up. I'm happy with the results so far. Idles smooth, no CEL, and great throttle response. Well worth a little time and $31

It was on the car when I bought it. Not sure of the brand. Probably a cheapo.
It was chrome and scratched all to he@#.
I bought some black carbon fiber sheet vinyl and wrapped it to try and jazz it up a bit.
That was a PITA. It's hard to wrap a round, curved surface without having it wrinkle up.
It turned out ok. I'll keep it for now.

I used the same Meter, but I cut the flange off instead of buying an adapter.
