please keep in mind that your GT spare will not fit on the 13" brakes.

rotate the tires until the spare is on the back.

can i paint the whole rotor? or just the part where the brake isnt touching it.

you paint where the rust is perminant (leave where the pads meet the rotors alone)

Here is what mine look like. Silver powder coated and they never rust.

And they were very cheap... less than half price of Brembos

now im pissed. it seems that even tho I spray the black paint. around the veins and on the edge of the rotor it will still rust. I see on ebay for $150 free shipping a set of brembos with free zinc plating around *all* of the rust surfaces..I paid 220 for my crap at ford racing...this really sucks, I wonder if they would refund if i go in their and bitch about the rust..worst things worst I will have rust on the edge of the calipers

question..If i do go the painting route, you guys are telling me not to paint the friction area..Is the "friction area" in the pics i posted? can I see where the rotor touches the wheel. their is *alot* of rust on it. I cannot pain that?..what about the big "Lip Hump" with the rust, can i paint that?

I got them here: http://www.discbrakesrus.com/make/ford/mustanggtff.htm

$599 for the front 2 rotors 13"+calipers + only $49 for powder coating option.
I got all 4 wheels for a little over $1000 (price apparently went up a little since last year... )

went back to ford and they wouldnt give me a refund so I am going to put up with these POS's and get them painted or coated. If i find a local company I will just get them coated..The "friction" area you guys are telling not to paint. That "area" isnt visible when the wheel is on right? just making sure I can paint everywhere where's their rust.

The "friction area" is where the brake pad contacts the rotor. You can paint anywhere but this area.

i dont think those are on right mang
dont the holes and slots closest to the outside of the rotor supposed to contact the pad first?
in other words, they look like theyre rotating the wrong way.
