ok i went through the manual and it says that the timing has to be set before u should perform the koer test, does that mean stock timing? mine was at 14* but was recently kinda screwed up, not sure what it's at now but it doesnt ping on 91, would that make much of a difference in the test? thanks i advance :flag:

Timing does not need to be set to run any of the scans on Mustangs. The scan tool has no way of knowing what the base timing is.

I think the only reason they suggest that is that the computer will rev the engine a little while performing the test. If the timing was really off that could cause some problems.

well i havent ran the koer test yet, i wanna fix the tps first then have it show no codes on the koeo test, then do the koer, today is my work on the 5.0 day :D (no work/school)

also, i think the reader can put the stang in no SPOUT mode for a couple mins to evaluate the timing (ive never done this step, so i could be wrong). just my faint recollection.
