well just bought longtubes and mid pipe and i plan on wraping them up.


I was just curious where i should place my wideband sensor? in the LTs or the midpipe?

I have shorties now and i have the wideband down in the midpipe. Im going long tubes very soon and it wills stay in the mid-pipe.

You should look at the info that came with your WB

Some brands don't take the heat as well as others

I have MAC L/T's and a LC-1 sensor... put the sensor at 2 o'clock in the passenger side of the H-pipe about 2 inches from the collector.

I put mine in the collectors of my LT's because I had seen quite a few other self tuning peeps have issues with their narrow band O2's cooling too much during idle.

I have seen peeps put bungs for nb's and wb's in a wide range of distance from the exhaust port.

That was the reason I suggested you check with the maker of your choice of wb.

Just a heads up on the header wrapping thing ...........

I've seen some say it causes them to hold moisture thus causing them to have a shorter life span

they are bbk ceramic coated LTs so i dont think i have to worry about the moisture to much i hope, i want to wrap them so there is alot less engine bay heat, and since i have an auto its going to be a very tight fit so less heat on the tranny.

as long as they last 1 year an 3/4. i should be good.

read their instructions it didnt say so I'll give them a call
