Hello All,

I have been running lean (around 16.5 to 17.50) on the Wide Band O2 at WOT.

So I have been trying to figure it out.

I bought the car two years ago and have put about 500 miles on it.

1 out of ten times at WOT the engine will stutter.

I checked the timing at idle and it was set at 21* with the spout connector unplugged.:eek::eek:

The fuel pressure is at 30 lbs. w/ vac line plugged in. No tune on car yet.

What would be a good base timing w/ 6 lbs. of boost?

The FPR is a no-boost sensitive one. The MSD 6BTM is not hooked up yet.

Thanks.

fuel pressure is WAY too low. It should be 38-40 psi. Im not sure what computer your car has but, my A9P factory tune only has around 24* at WOT. (when base timing is 10*) I would set your base timing back to at least 10* with the SPOUT connector out. If you dont have an ignition box with boost retard or a tuner you may want to go even lower. Im no pro at this stuff but, I hope that helps.

Read your post again. you say your fuel regulator isnt set up for boost. You should get one that is as you need more fuel under boost. Also, when you adjust the pressure up to about 40 psi, you might want to disconnect the battery & pump the brake pedal a few times so that you clear the KAM (keep alive memmory) as the car will have tried to adjust the fuel trims to compensate for your low fuel pressure & would probably be too rich at first until it relearns new trims. hope that helps.
