What are your II's like...? As in original... modified... a little bit of both? Just curious. I'd love to get mine original, but love the look of something different.

Honestly I don't especially like the original 78 Cobra II look... bit too loud for me. So I've modified mine with the usual engine stuff (heads, cam, intake, etc), shaker hoodscoop (work in progress), 5-lugs all around, shaved emblems, shaved taillight bezels, fiberglass bumpers, custom front spoiler, front fascia extended one inch on top, and the list keeps growing...

Mine is nowhere near stock drivetrain wise. Exterior is rather stock, I may change some things in the future however.

I just do whatever to the car that I like, basically.

Both of mine are under construction.

One is slightly non stock. It will appear stock unless the wheel studs are counted or the hood is looked under.

The other is going to be obviously other than stock.

Mine still looks stock. But No stock '74 had a 351W or an AOD. and it showed when I put em in.

Ill probably change the look after Im sure its all running good. That shopping list includes:

Rice headlights off Ebay
White Face Guages
Custom Ground Effects
Dark Plum colored interior, Steeda Seats
and a Helluva stereo system.

Slightly modified '78 Cobra II, being returned to original. (my friends think I'm nuts to do it, but I always wanted to own a Mustang that was like it was from the factory)

For the most part, mine looks all stock on the outside except for the wheels, but the drivetrain isn't.

Tim already mentioned to me its green and white. i want pics, pics, pics, pics and more pics.

I do however, agree with dmoody, decals on a 78 are a little loud for me but i still love all of these cars.

One modified wasp nest and one stock wasp nest.

The modified one is still under construction, but has an injected 5.0, aluminum heads, headers, T-5, 5-lug conversion with Granada rotors, and stiffer springs/shocks.

'77 Mach 1 -- Factory appearing except for '93 Mustang chrome "Pony" wheels and '88 T-Bird seats. Drivetrain looks stock at first glance with the exception of the headers, but is actually a 4-bbl '88 5.0L and T-5. http://www.a351must2.atfreeweb.com/77Mach1/images/mach1side.jpg

'78 T-Top -- never seen another like it...White with Black trim, Cobra II rear spoiler, '82 Mustang scoop, lowered a bit, 17" Roush split 5-spoke wheels. 351W + Tremec 5spd + 9" rear. http://www.a351must2.atfreeweb.com/78TTop/ttop4.jpg

'78 Coupe -- Black with black trim (not finished yet), '94 Mustang 16" wheels, lowered. '88 2.3L, Holset HY35W turbo, 90MM MAF, 3.5" downpipe, 3" exhaust, Stinger tube header, 75lb/hr injectors, etc, etc. Still not on the road, and expecting either a lot of clutch smoke or a broken rear end in the first week it's on the road. No good recent pic... http://www.a351must2.atfreeweb.com/78Coupe/dcp_1359M.jpg

Typical RestoMod.
Looks stock on the outside, right down to the 13" wheels.
And unless you have X-ray vision you can't see the camshaft, rockers, ported heads, different gears, posi, and the rest of that jazz.

I tried to restore mine to its original look.
I usually like to keep my cars as original as I can...
