Just finished final priming!!!!

That shelby hood is going to look awesome with the decklid spoiler you have on there...very nice!

You've given me hope that I might be able to paint in my garage and have it look halfway decent!

Great job :nice:

The reason I ask is I painted mine in the garage with too small a compressor and the orange peal I encountered was 10x more rough then an actual orange! :bang: It flashed before it hit the car.
I spent 40 hrs wet sanding and then had to pollish. I' surprised any of my paint is still on. :nonono: On a scale of 1-10, mine is a 1 1/2". :D I learned and may someday try again. My car is a definite 100 foot car:nice: :nice:

Looks Good!!! NIce job!

I only have 2 runs and maybe 8-10 spots of dust on the entire car. It is slick as glass and the orange peel is very minimal. I would say its a 8.5.

You also have to realize this is not my first car to paint and definately not the first in a garage.

Thanks for all the compliments

Geostang - I've painted a couple of cars in my garage with a small 20 gallon compressor. Never had an orange peel problem. I upgraded to a 33 gallon for more cfm on other tools however.

Red5oh - looks great, cant waitto see the next pics!

geostang351... I was thinking.. what kind of gun did you use? I have seen some 'cheap' HVLP's put down some serious orange peel.

I use a SATA regular gravity feed... nothing special, it just is a good overall gun. Not nearly as efficient as a SATA hvlp, but good enough for a garage.

I cant wait to get it back together now... I have to just invite some friends over to put those doors on w/o scratching them
