I just finished installing my PI heads on my 98GT, and was curious if anyone else ran into this. I have 2 questions so bear with. After doing the swap, my alternator bracket will not fit anymore, and was curious if the 2001 alternator bracket would work, and if anyone out there had one for sale? The second question is, I have lost some bottom end power, which is what I was afraid might happen, but if I do a Dyno and tune, would I gain some of that power back? TIA

I recently installed just an PI intake and replaced the alternator bracket to the PI style. You should be able to use your old bracket however. Just line up your altenator with the bracket on there and drill your new holes. I didn't want to bother and wanted a nicer/cleaner look, so I bought the new bracket for approx. 8 bucks. Got it from Randy at Liberty Ford (modulardepot.com).

Do you happen to have the part number for the bracket?

Just have somebody weld about an inch onto the old one so you can get it on the back bolt. And you didnt lose any low end power take it to the dyno you will like what you see.

1R3Z-10153-AA is the part number for the alternator bracket over the aluminum crossover.

Thx for the part #. As soon as I get that part put on, it will be put to the Dyno and tune stage of my swap.
