damn, the hardest part for me was removing and reinstalling the passanger side studs off the header. the timing wasn't that bad at all. i can really feel the difference @ the upper end of the rpms, and of course w/ 4 cats hallowed out it sounds pretty sick. I was wondering if there's a 'break in' period with the swap, i havent gunned it all the way yet. and yeah i found out why i was getting the check engine flag with an O2 sensor... i found that the wires were torn apart near ther oil pan :| i got robbed by my local dealer for $240 in new sensors cause they told me they were bad and they didnt check the connections.

I would hate to be the first to respond and get right off topic, but where in PA are you located? have you seen this: http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=503599

Glad to hear you like the swap. Did you just go with plain ol' PI heads and cams? no P&P or special cams? I just recently did the headswap myself and i love it as well.

ohh yeah you wanted to know about break-in. Well i did the headswap, let it warm up, changed the oil (to get rid of any contaminants in the oil like coolant) and floored it coming out of the shop i did the swap in. no breakin for me.

Same with the clutch, i got the SPEC Stage II and thier billet steel flywheel, they recommend 450 miles of easy stop and go driving before you get into it. That didnt happen either.

I gunned her all the way home after my swap too. You don't need to break anything in, you didn't change any rings or seals in the cylinders in the block, just gave her a new top end. The PI heads are awesome. Bottom end is where you have to worry about break in. Now go out there and roast them ricers!!!
