It idled rough when it was cold but after I ran it, it smoothed out. A few things I noticed: The first thing is when I let off of the clutch, the pedal kind of chatters and I believe it is the TOB that is squeaking. I have a FWA and clutch quadrant from UPR. Do I just need to adjust it? If so, how do I do that because I forgot how to use it. The other thing I noticed is when I hit the brakes at higher speeds the car shudders. I haven't noticed it at speeds of around 25 or below. What could be the problem with this? None of this was happening when I parked it.

i would flush the brake fluid (it is very hygroscopic). with the clutch, i would just drive it some. you might have leaked some fluids on the friction surfaces, gotten surface rust, etc. if the hard parts were alright when you stored it, they should be alright now (stuff does not necessarily warp over winter).

good luck.

ok, i just re-read this and i was typing while you put up post 4. describe the chatter more. when someone says a clutch chatters, to me that indicates that there is chatter while engaging the clutch. do you have this, or simply vibration in the pedal (and this vibration goes away when the pedal is lightly pressed in)?

if you can make vibration go away with pressing the pedal lightly, you are loading the TOB - i would post more info and investigate further. if this is the case and you dont have chatter as i described it, i would doubt you have contamination on the clutch itself (based upon what you have said). need more info and thanks for bumping and asking if i knew what i was talking about - you made me see posts that i had not seen before. :nice:
