Is this the extent of the timing changes?
If so there is your problem. Like I posted in the other post in the areas off idle and before WOT the EGR tables will be active and are 40+ so your only going to be -2 or so out of 40+. Also at WOT your total is 26-ish so you would be seeing about 24*. Both of these are WAY WAY too much. I would hope he has access and is changing your timing tables around correct?
At the next tune I would ask him to show you your timing tables and what he is changing. If anything so you know for sure.
Think about the iron heads like this as far as the "thin" decks. Most people compare the deck thickness to an alum. head. Alum. is softer needing more to equal that of iron. So a thinner deck can and will be just as strong as a thicker alum. deck. Also alot of the factory stock guys mill the piss out of the heads, there not boosting but they are running some preaty extreme setups none the less. Also how can in this case a stock 93-95 cobra or 93-95 gen 1 lightning handle double the boost STOCK if the heads are that chitty? Unless you have some FAR out head issues I just cannot see the issue being the heads at only 6psi. Thats like running a 75-80 shot of n2o
