Hello Everyone:

I just hit 91k on my 98 Mustang. I am noticing that she doesn't get as good gas mileage as she used to (then again it may just be my lead foot ). Noticing other little things like with acceleration and such. My question is now that my girl is getting older what can I do to keep her purring like new? What should I inspect now that she's getting closer to 100k?
U joint I've heard about, anything else? Thanks everyone, your input is appreciated.

yeah, mine has 96000 now, and it gets really crappy mpg. If you haven't changed the fuel filter recently, that needs to be changed, its by your gas tank under the car if your 98 is like my 94 at all. Change that then i would recommend fuel injector cleaner. Your o2 sensors should be right before your cats on your exhaust. If you have a rough idle, i would check those, otherwise they more then likely ok. Car would run like crap if they were faulty. They're not cheap either. Sure you've done the regular maintenance, like new plugs, air filter, etc. Not sure if you've checked your rearend seal. Those can start leaking and need seal replacement. I know your more then likely need your Front Bearings Repacked. Seams like no one ever does this . Otherwise you will need to replace then later down the road adding to the packing cost. Check your break pads out. Can't think of to much else. . That should be a good start if you haven't already done it. I got writers cramp now...
