Ok guys i just got done installing some Eibach Drag Springs with the air bag in the back. I am not sure if the passanger spring is in right. The driverside spring looks fine, it is equally decompressed but the passanger side one is all decompress on the top, so the tops of the coils are all touching and in the middle it looks normal or maybe a little bit higher. The height on the driverside one is 27 1/4 and the passanger side one is 27 1/2. Also the bag in the passanger side doesn't look like it can move around at all, right now i have not filled it yet and it is sort of crushing on the sides. Please let me know if that is right so far, or do i have to pull them off and redo that one side. Thanks

Nick

ps. I will take some pics tomorrow to show you guys if you think it is wrong.

I believe the passenger side spring is progressive and the driver side is standard rate -- which is what it sounds like you're seeing. Did you install them with the pigtail on the bottom facing the same direction?

Yeah, if you looked at them before you installed them you'd see that they're different. I've got the rears sitting in my garage, I'll take a couple pics tomorrow if I remember. As for the bag being tight, of course it is. If it wasn't snug on the sides then when the spring compressed on launch the airbag would just squeeze out sideways and be useless.

willys1: where did you get the spring compressor from? I've been looking all over for one and can't find it.

As a rule of thumb 1/4" difference in ride hight isn't a problem.

BTW you can get a spring compressor at NAPA for around $50. I do recomend have them installed by a qulified person though. The compressors they sell at napa can be down right dangerous even if used with the safety hooks. Although it has never happened to me, I've had quite a few friends that have had spring compressors break on them. Brand new compressors.

You really don't need to spring compress to do the install....
