Just installed my Volvo electric fan and the new Flex-a-lite variable speed fan controller

http://store.summitracing.com/partd...1165&N=4294924500+4294860934+115&autoview=sku

I have never owned a DCC but from what I have read, this is the same thing. It adjust fan speed to engine temp cycling the fan from 60% to 100% speed depending on coolant temp to reduce current draw and fan noise.

Its temperature adjustable and has wiring to turn the fan on when the AC is on as well as a full manual switch so you can over ride the controller and turn the fan on 100% or totally off if you are crossing low water crossings.

The fan also runs up to 30 seconds after you turn the car off depending on coolant temp.

I ran the fan direct at 100% and it was pretty noisey. I installed it with the variable speed controller and its much better, fan does not run constantly and is MUCH more quiet.

Install is very easy and the instructions are very clear.

Not to take anything away from DCC but I have read about slow shipping issues that have upset people so if your in a hurry, this may be a viable option with 2 day shipping from Jegs and I believe its about 20.00 cheaper.

Just thought I would throw my review out there for anyone that may be interested.

Baskin is being taken out by the big companies... Time to sell your idea and get out before no one remembers who you are because they can get one in 1-2 days with a warranty.

It seems to me that Mr Baskin recently posted about the differences between the two controllers. They are not quite the same functionally or intrinsically.
