well this past week me and the UPS man were on a first name bases...LOL
My wife called me a big baby because everytime I heard that truck I was running and skipping...LOL I recently changed jobs and the wife(GOD I LOVE HER) says to me you make good money why don't you just finish the car. I was floored because seriously I have been building this car for almost 7 years and was starting to really loose interest. My wife said she hated seeing me always reading the new MM&FF looking sad or always helping my buddys with their cars @ the track...didn't have a clue she noticed. I've always put others before me because, thats the way I was raised. So hopefully with this motivation I can get alot done over the winter.

the LIST from last week
AJE coil over kit
wild rides battle boxes
ta girdle
wolfe sperical bushings
super victor 5.8
afr 205's
mounted my 15x10's telstars on 28x10.5 MT ET Drags
strange 31-spline pro race axles
upr caster camber plates

so in about two or three weeks the car will go back to the chasis shop & get the whole rearend set-up maybe(mini-tubbed) more bars on the cage and then over to my buddys shop where we'll re-paint the cage and put all the interior back in and start the WIRING....:nonono:

so I'll post pics as I go through this process

sorry so long but I really appreciate my understanding wife:nice:

later

.... lol.... seems like alot of times this past month, everyones wife, girlfriend or income holder, has been letting alot of the mustang owners splurge this month... i wonder if somone put somthing in the water... or if all of our old ladies have a thread were they go to talk about us...

anyways, gald to hear things are working out for you!.. so tell the ups guy we all said Hi.. lol

Cool, hope you get the car finished up soon.

I can still remember the look my wife gave me when I considered selling my '90: . I've had the car since '94 (we met in '92) so she knows how I feel about. The plan was to find a lower mileage 5-speed 5.0 and "start over" but once I thought about all the work I've put in I backed out. She has never complained about my cars but she's not stupid either. When you think about it these cars are pretty damn cheap to own/maintain (although, I wouldn't consider a complete buildup like your's "cheap"). Generally when something goes wrong, all it takes is a quick run to Autozone and a few hours out of my Saturday and it's fixed. I could easily be out spending $20-40k on a newer car but luckily for her I just happen to really love these cars.....and I hate the thought of having another car note.

At the risk of sounding stupid, "GET ER DUN!"

My wife hardly ever tells me no if its something for the stang because she knows we haven't had to make payments on it for over 8 years now. So even if there are some repairs every so often, its still cheaper than payments.

Your lucky, not all women are as understanding, so I have heard
