I just ordered the autometer ATM-4380 D Pic gauge. Suposingly this gauge tells you your 0-60 times, quarter mile times and rear wheel horsepower. Pretty cool. Does anyone here have it? How does it work? Was installation hard? I believe its a switched volts and ground. I'm going to mount it in the autometer steering wheel pod. Should look sick!

Very cool! I wanted one last time I was gauge shopping, but ended up just going for the essentials. Tell us how you like it!

It has an inertia sensor. Same exact thing as in the "G meter" and things like that. They all seem to work well enough (don't rely on that HP though, and really, don't really on any of it, but it's pretty cool)

No no I'm not trying to scare you off It's a super cool thing. But it can't be super accurate either just so you know. It bases all it's calculations on g forces a little tiny chip detects. In theory this can work perfectly, but in practice it's not as simple, and to have truly accurate measurements it has to be a very sophisticated inertia chip that would be extremely expensive (and no market for) so it makes it's compromises with the price.

I have one for a year, it's cool and fun to watch... (and more sexy than those useless A/F ratio gauges...)
I did not compare the readings with my actual numbers though...
But I recorded 1.07G peak acceleration
My Pioneer DVD/Navigation stereo also has G-meter built-in so I get double readings now...

How was the install? Power and ground? Do you have any pics of it mounted in your ride?

Got the gauge and install literally took 30 minutes. Heres what it looks like in the car now.
