I bought a set of cheap futura ultra Z tires which grab surprisingly well for the 100 bucks paid... putting them on was a nightmare for them though.. I have 17 x 9 cobra r's and the tires rubbed extremely bad... soo they told me if i didnt wanna go back to a smaller tire, then to take my tails off and run 1/4 spacers..... so i bought the spacers and that took care of the rubbing on the quadshock, and they were nice enough to bend my hangers soo my tailpipes would clear... no rubbing now... question is... are wheel spacers bad to use?? anddd will they throw the alignment off? I would assume they wont mess with the alignment right?

take the quad shocks and turn them backwards that will clear up 1/4 to 1/2 an inch that should take care of your problem. i have 275 in the back of my car and i just took off the quads, and have had no adverse effects.

yup, no quads on mine, got 275s on my chrome 03 cobra rims, just ditch those useless things and get some upper and lower control arms they make the greatest difference in ride and traction, and let ya fit some big meats

Same here. Put 275/40/17 on 17x9 chrome bullits. Took of the quads and have had no probs. Tried reversing them but didn't give any extra clearence so off they came.

Im installing 275 soon. Is there a smaller tire rather than 275 that I could use...like 265, does this exist? And is it easy for the installer to fit 275 on wheels? I dont want them to sctrach them.

yank the quads off like everyone else said. I have no quads on my 91 with R58 Cobra R's 17x9 and the only problem was fitting them up front(cut fenders, rolled fender lips, pushed out on the fender from the inside).
