Just switched to a Performer Intake

Well I also have heads and a cam but I decided to just change the intake for now until I get my car smogged next month. I would have just smogged it and not changed the intake but I have a 94-95 engine in my 89 and their lower intake does not have the provisions or my act sensor, so it was just sitting there measuring the temp under the hood. Its passed like this twice before but I thought I'd have it right this time. But the last bolt I was taking out, by the water neck, broke. So I get to spend tomorrow drilling ang tapping it. It sucks since the heads will be coming off after I get smogged.

I had a similar issue. I rebuilt and used my engine from 95 GT for my 93 swap. I used the lower intake from the 95, which didn't have port for the ACT and a fox body upper intake. I installed the ACT sensor into one of the vacuum taps in the upper intake. It worked out fine. Maybe the Performer Intake has these vacuum taps also???

It has the ACT provision on the lower manifold.
