Thanks for the info on the dead battery and the tips for turning the radio off. Seems to have made a difference. Only went dead once since turning the radio off before turning off the ignition. Radio had turned itself back on while parked. Time to upgrade the head unit anyway. Also, there is a post re: when your gauges stop working or work erratically. I ordered the parts from E-Bay based on postings here. Changed the stepper motors in the gauge cluster and everything works again, was really easy to do. 30 bucks vs. hundreds for a new gauge cluster from Ford. Thanks again for the advise/info.
