You know if you bought a whole car for parts like a wrecked one or something I bet it wouldn't be that bad of a swap. might need to get
creative on some stuff like the speedometer and use some fox sending
units for the gauges but I bet it wouldn't be that hard.
I don't like those engines at all but if we all had the same opinion
we wouldn't have a very wide selection.
I have seen some swaps that I thought were stupid or ugly but that
doesn't mean that I can't appreciate the creatively, thought and
labor it took to screw up a nice car.
Look what a f*****g mess I made of this Olds for my son.
Now that's ugly,, but he likes it 24's"

No,, I was shocked.. I took it out and it rode OK a lot better than I thought
it would. The guy in the spring shop said it would ride good I figured he
was just making a sale but he was right. Opening up the wheel wells for
clearance of the 24s was a pain

IMO, people who assume lsx> all are people who arent very educated. (not directed at the OP and guy wouldnt give a chit if it was directed at him anyways). Im not saying im against it, i love the ls motors as much as the next guys but in terms of building a street car, race car, ect. there are many other (better options). sure they make good power and make lots of it without a ton of work, but plenty of other motors do the same thing. I guess its a personal preference thing. If i was building an LS motor it would be in a chebby, preferably in a car that came with the motor to begin with, because if im going through all the trouble of building/swapping a motor its sure as hell going to be something better than a 5.7/6.0 chevy motor. theyre great motors, but theres plenty more options out there. if you have the motor/trans/harness etc in front of you, by all means go for it. if not, do some research and build something cool.

i totally get it tanner im up in the air since the car is bone stock i think i will start by modding it slowly and pick the motor up from the bro and just throw it in the garage for a project or at least thats what the awesome wife was suggesting so i can have the best of both worlds a tricked out car and a spare motor to build! i would love a 95 single cab chevy lowered with an ls1!!

anything like that would be badass. im not really "brand loyal" cool chit is cool chit to me. Id love an lsx nova to be honest but i can never decide between that and something with a lot of cubes. My imagination is bigger than my check book though so it doesnt make much difference. like i said, do what ya want. as long as you dont throw some japanese 4cyl pos in it, im all for it.

Same here, and she is trying sooooo harrrrrrd to talk me out of it. "We could put that money aside for a Europe trip next year" or "we could be spending that on things around the house" or "we could be investing that with a financial planner". Those are all good and nice, but I'm only using half of it, woman, use your half for what you want! Besides, it's not like we don't have any money in savings that could be going toward all those things.

I remember seeing that car. Isn't it an engine out of a tank or something?
