Hey guys, I just purchased a k&n CAI for my 2006 v6. I would like to know if I could add a custom-tune to the CAI to unleash the potential of it?

...some CAI's say they don't require a tune, so I'm just curious.

*All answers are greatly appreciated*

Usually if a CAI doesn't require a tune it doesn't flow much more air than stock intake.

You're right. I'm pretty sure the CAI i have has a little more air flow than stock, but just enough to pass the c.a.r.b. specs. I'd like to have a tune done though, just because i feel it may add a ton more performance.

A tune will make a differance. If you have to buy a tuner I'd get a tuner and intake package, you'll see more gain.

We have a nice package that can provide up to 16-20 RWHP for your V6. I am sure you are seeing some okay gains from the K&N, but if you are looking to see some great gains, give our CAI/Tune a look.
