K&N FIPK

Just like with anything, buying used is a gamble, but peeps from MPH seem to go through blowers like water. Usually there is a decent amount to choose from or you can try calling up there and they may have some on hand. Cams are a great choice for power adders, but IMO they don't hold a candle to what fun you can have with a blower. If you are semi-mechanically inclined, then the installation of the blower is not hard at all. For me, the hardest thing was putting on the belt, what a PITA!

I have the FIPK2 and I love it! looks good under the hood and makes a nice performance improvement. In my opinion CAI IS worth it. Just go with a good make and I would stay away from fender well intakes, my friend had one and drove through a huge puddle accidently, goobye motor!:nonono:

I thought most people say stay away from used blower kits. I can get cams installed for $900 + $550 for the cams and then $275 for a dyno tune = $1725. A Blower kit from MPH is around $3,900 + then install, talking around $5,000 for everything. So cams would be about $3,275 less then a blower.

Not really. I spent $2500 on my blower setup, and that included a tune, FMIC, BPV, injectors, MAF, etc. Ya it's used, but it works perfectly, and I trusted the seller. So, you can spend 2500[-3000 grand for a used kit, or you can spend well over 2 grand to gain 30whp with cams :notnice:

Buying a used car is a gamble. Hell buying ANYTHING used and you are "gambling". You can't tell me everything you buy is brand new. Plus, supercharges are super easy to rebuild, and if you can do it yourself, very inexpensive. I see nothing wrong with buying a used blower, as long as you trust the seller.

Wasn't implying there was a problem with buying used...hell my car was bought used it and still running strong. I was referring to the fact that if I was looking for a used kit, I would try the MPH forums or MPH itself as too many of its members are constantly tinkering and getting new setups.
