I just started trying to use my TWEECER RT on my new to me 90 mustang. I noticed in the data logs that theKAM data is always 1 and I know Im not that good at tuning. I checked for check engine codes and one of the codes I got was KAM check failed. I checked to see if i had any bad fuses and didnt have any. Then I looked for a wiring diagram and found that KAM power is supposed to be at pin 1. I checked for power at pin 1 with a multimeter and had 12 volts. dose this mean my eecm is faulty? Is there more I should check

code 15? Usually thats just from the presence of the tuner/chip, and not having an updated checksum. Ive never used the tweecer, so im not sure if it updates the checksum like it should. Lots of SCT, Diablo and soforth will have that same code because the tuner didnt address the checksum issue.

Thats not what that code means all the time. Its also a ROM code. When the Checksum isnt addressed or updated, It will log code 15. Code 15 is a ROM or KAM code.

Ok. I understand the check sum update causing the code 15. Any insite into why the KAM data is always 1 and not changing to adjust the tune? thanks for explaining the code 15

Im using BE & EA with the TWEECER RT. I would email you my tune if I knew how. Any and all sugestions on the tune would be appricated. I just did a basic tune up. Plugs, wires, cap & rotor, fuel filter and still have a miss. Im trying to get the MAF dialed in as Im using an o5 slot style in a 4" pipe thats how I found the KAM data isnt changing

I use the 05 slot as well. I used a spreedsheet that basically gave me the MAF transfer. Its actually pretty damn accurate. Did you use that spreed sheet aswell?

could you post the spread sheet or copy & paste Your MAF transfer? I found a transfer function online but if what you have was really close, I would like to try it. thanks.

Looking for advice on the KAM data on the EECtuner forum also. it was recommended that I check the ACT scalar and for some reason the min ACT scalar was at 200. Ive set it to 40 now and will try that out tomorrow

Yes cgrey8 is right on.
My tube diameter is different, so my Transfer wont work for you. But here is the link to a thread with the Spreedsheet.

I guess you might be right that i should have posted in tuning but, at the time, i thought the problem was more mechanical. as it turns out with the slot maf i hardly reach 100 degrees air intake temp. so tuning was the fix.

yes. I use the IAT sensor that is in the maf. I dont have a stock style intake so I cant use the original IAT in its factory location.
